The buying process in Turkey is very simple and very safe as long as things are done correctly.

At the first stage we discuss with you what you would like to have, whether it be a holiday home an investment with rental potential or a straightforward investment for resale, if the property will be for summer use or all year round, If it will be an apartment, villa or land for building your own dream. To enable us to do this correctly we also need to know your budget.

Once we have found your dream home the first thing we do is check that the title deeds (tapu) are clear of debts. Debts are set against property in Turkey. If clear we go ahead and get agreement on price and dates of exchange of contracts.

Once this is done we will take you to the tax office to get a tax number then to the bank to open a bank account so that you can transfer funds over. We can also point you in the right direction to get the highest rate of exchange. You can open accounts here in New Turkish Lira, Euros, GBP or USD. We would recommend you open one with the currency the seller wants paid in so that you are only changing your money over to another currency once if at all.

This is where we differ from other real estate companies here, WE INSIST that everything is done by lawyers, this way you can be assured everything will be done correctly and that you can be safe in the knowledge that any monies sent over are kept in a client account just as with your solicitor back home.

The lawyer will then draw up the contracts and have them translated for you, when you are happy that all is correct, you sign the contract, the solicitor does the exchange of contracts. When this is done the house is YOURS, the solicitor will then pay the seller by the terms agreed in your contract and prepare your papers to be cleared by the military (this is just a formality

When you return we will take you to get the electricity and water connected in your name and help you in any other way that we can i.e finding the right furniture at the right price etc.

As for the costs of all this you don’t need to worry as all properties we sell include every expense. You will not pay one penny more than the price you are quoted.
